And having been married 41 years, I would write...
twenty more years of all the above
and more than was expected
twenty more years of finding
new things about the other.

twenty more years of seeing
your love growing older;
twenty more years of coming
to realize the youth is gone.

twenty more years of making
final choices and letting the
kids know where your final
resting place will be.

twenty more years of amazement
at how the time has flown
twenty more years of growing
more in love each day.

twenty more years of learning
what is really important
twenty more years of wondering
why you fought as you did

twenty more years of taking care
of one another
twenty more years of grandchildren
from 4 to 21

twenty more years of excitement
of dreaming of the future and
twenty more years of wondering
how long before one is gone.

twenty more years and hopefully
twenty more years.
